Don't walk out into traffi...</title><content type='html'>As tragic as this is... Don't walk out into traffic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Christ's sake, that's the first thing my parents taught me when I was old enough to go places on my own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It wasn't until I moved up here that I found people absolutely oblivious to cars. Don't get me wrong... I'm all for pedestrians... but when they dart out from between cars, or walk out not paying attention and not in a crosswalk, they are just tempting fate. I can't tell you how many times I've been on Main Street and trying to make a left onto Pleasant Street, (where there's no turn arrow) and just as you get a break and start to go, some nitwit steps off the curb in front of me.
